ATLAS Analysis Jamboree on Higgs Searches
The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will host an Analysis Jamboree on October 24-26, 2012. The purpose of the jamboree is to bring together people actively working on Higgs analyses or planning to join ones. In the light of a new boson discovery this summer, we will discuss plans to study its properties, searches for the Higgs boson in fermionic final states (bb and tautau), and implications of the recent Higgs results on physics beyond the standard model. Special emphasis will also be made on the BSM Higgs boson searches.
During the first day of the jamboree, we will have open sessions with ATLAS and theory talks. The remaining two days will be ATLAS-only sessions with 30’ talks. Ample time for discussions will be allocated after each session.
All jamboree participants will need a pass to enter the lab and should register by clicking on the Registration tab above. The deadline to register is now Oct 17. This event is restricted to ATLAS collaboration members and invited speakers only. There is a $50 fee to be paid online during the registration process. Late registration fee after October 17 is $100. The receipt should be available from the registration confirmation page (under the tab on the right hand side: Documents-Receipt-Send e-mail/print out).
Remote users will be able to connect to the Jamboree by EVO or Vidyo (information is to provided on the indico page with agenda). However, we strongly encourage all speakers to attend the jamboree in person.
The Jamboree will be held in Room 100B of Building 2 at LBNL.
The agenda is being finalized. If you would like to give a talk or have suggestions about the topics to be discussed please contact the organizers.
